Maximize Your Muzzle Straps

Just because an item is breakaway, you don't necessarily need it breaking away on day one. Loopy straps can get caught on just about anything. Get the most out of your leather muzzle straps by using the back keepers and electrical tape to secure any open loops or strap tails. Our tutorial video shows you our best practices.

Moving On from Leather?

Quality horse tack is made from and synonymous with leather. Right? Tradition is a fine thing, but when a leather strap breaks away, it is useless!

We developed Hook and Loop (read: "Velcro") muzzle straps to give you and your horse the benefits of breakaway tack, but also to give you the ability to reuse the same straps through multiple breakages (heaven forbid). We advertise them as corner straps, but they work great as regular straps too!

So far we've not had any problems. Hope I don't jinx myself. The original straps are still being used.

Up a notch

The vegan leather muzzle inserts are without a doubt a great, comfortable addition to the muzzle. Softer than grabbing pasture thru the plastic. Thank yall

Susan, thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts on the leather muzzle insert! We started developing the leather insert a few years ago for all the reasons you mention: comfort, natural material, buffer between the muzzle body and horse teeth. We've continued working on and refining it over the past couple of seasons. For particularly aggressive grazers, it's so much more cost effective to replace a leather insert than it is to get an all new muzzle. We're so glad you approve!

Muzzle

We've been using these muzzles for over 2 years on 3 horses and VERY pleased. Once you learn how to fit them, we've had no problem with rubbing, etc. They are holding up very well and only 1 little connector broke in all this time. I had ordered a couple extras so didn't create any problem. I like the way they fit, the way a horse can eat, drink water, etc.
