I still think green guard is the best muzzle out there. I also think this rubber insert is an absolute must for all of them it saves their teeth. Unfortunately my must have popped out when my pony destroyed her last halter and I can't find it in the field.

I purchased 3 breakaway halters and Green Guard grazing muzzles for my three miniature donkeys. Before we had them, I would have to limit their time out in the pasture, and they would be so unhappy. And typical of small farms in Minnesota, the grass out there is far too lush for donkeys.
It did take some time to get the halters fitted properly; I purchased the small pony size so they seemed so big! The YouTube videos and the customized help via email was very helpful. They wore their halters each day for about a week, and the muzzles were in plain sight so they could get used to them. They received a peppermint treat immediately after allowing me to put the whole rig on them, and I must admit I was shocked they took to them so well. Donkeys are smart; they realized they get way more time outside with the halter & muzzles on.
I highly recommend this product, and the customer service help is outstanding.

My horse is an escape artist when it comes to halters. The GG halter is the solution and he’s very comfortable in his new muzzle as well. Thanks for a great solution.

I love the muzzle. My horse gets everything off I put on him but with the extra Velcro so far he has kept it on🤞

My 23yo mare has been using this halter/muzzle for about a month now. Wearing during the day only has been enough to keep her from blowing up like a balloon. She’s relaxed, drinks well and still grazes most of the day. No rubs or escaping so far. However, I did measure carefully, purchased the halter also and watched videos on how to adjust it correctly. I introduced it slowly and worked up to the full day over the first week. Very happy with it so far.

I have a gelding that's prone to laminitis but usually does okay turned out with his GG grazing muzzle. This spring he was showing some signs of trouble (soreness from a laminitis flare up) so I got the diet insert for his muzzle. It did the trick and he is able to stay on pasture with his friends. He is walking soundly and didn't even seem to notice the greater restriction from his muzzle.

We are please with this halter and hope to be able to purchase for all the horses in our herd. It’s a good quality halter and we are pleased with both the quality and the price.

I hesitated for a month or so before trying the GG muzzle for my mini. The only thing I regret is not buying it sooner. He’s able to spend more time with the herd and is staying at a lovely weight! He has not been able to get it off (I bought the halter as well) but honestly, he hasn’t even tried to get it off unlike a couple of other brands I tried before. ❤️
